The Reuse Lab is an exhibition and learning programme developed by members of the South London remaking community. The exhibition focuses on principles of design that draw inspiration from repair, reusing and recycling, and is accompanied by talks and workshops highlighting sustainable design ideas. The diverse design objects in the exhibition will symbolise and emphasise their links to nature and to the support structures within the resilient reuse and creative enterprise community.
The project aims to emphasise the process of evolution of a design from identical mass produced items and original objets d’art. The idea behind the exhibition is to focus on principles of design that can be found in any resilient community. The work on show will only be created directly by the public in a co-design process between the community and skilled makers.
